In celebration of Earth Day, NJHS members hosted Trashionista:
"Saving the Earth in Style." IWA students modeled outfits made
out of recycled materials.
NEHS & NJHS members as tour guides during open house.
The National Junior Honor Society held an Induction
Ceremony on November 17th.
Mr. Edward J. Argueta, principal of the Math and Science Academy at UTB,
served as the guest speaker. Congratulations to the NJHS inductees:
Seventh graders - Melissa Cano, Laura Cruz, Jocelyn Loera, Andrea Lopez,
Carolina Montemayor, Karen Nieto, Valeria Rodriguez, and Cecilia
Salinas;
Eighth graders - Mariana Alvarado, Anna Prado and Silvia Perez.
National Junior Honor Society members served as tour
guides for this
year's alumni fundraiser, the Silver Tea. They conducted tours of the
middle
school building and the school archives. VM/IWA alumni enjoyed the
tours and appreciated the service provided by the NJHS members.
